Important Notice

OxyRemote is not a medical device. It is a software application designed to display data from third-party Bluetooth pulse oximeters. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

1. Informational Use Only

All data displayed within the OxyRemote app — including SpO₂ percentages, heart rate readings, and historical trends — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. This data should never be used as the sole basis for making medical decisions.

2. Not a Substitute for Professional Medical Advice

OxyRemote does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of information displayed in the app.

3. Accuracy of Data

While OxyRemote aims to display data accurately as received from your Bluetooth pulse oximeter, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any reading. Consumer pulse oximeters — including those compatible with OxyRemote — may produce inaccurate readings due to factors such as poor circulation, skin tone, nail polish, motion, or device malfunction.

4. Emergency Situations

If you believe you or someone you are monitoring is experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services (911 in the US) immediately. Do not rely on OxyRemote for emergency medical monitoring. The app depends on Bluetooth connectivity, internet access, and device battery — any of which may fail without warning.

5. Third-Party Hardware

OxyRemote is compatible with third-party Bluetooth pulse oximeters that are not manufactured, endorsed, or certified by OxyRemote. We are not responsible for the performance, accuracy, or safety of any third-party hardware. Always ensure your oximeter is FDA-cleared or CE-marked and used in accordance with its manufacturer's instructions.

6. Remote Monitoring Limitations

Remote monitoring via OxyRemote requires an active internet connection on both the monitoring device and the viewer's device. Data transmission may be delayed or interrupted due to network conditions, Bluetooth range limitations, or device issues. Remote viewers should not rely on OxyRemote as a continuous, real-time critical monitoring system.

7. Assumption of Risk

By using OxyRemote, you acknowledge and accept that you are using the app at your own risk. You understand the limitations of consumer pulse oximetry and remote monitoring technology, and you agree that OxyRemote, its developers, and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any health outcomes, decisions, or actions taken based on data displayed in the app.
