Or: "My mom wears the ring at night, can I see it on my phone from my room down the hall?" It sounds like it should be simple. It usually is not, and the reason has nothing to do with you doing anything wrong.
The short answer: a single O2Ring (and the rest of the Wellue / Viatom / Checkme family) talks to exactly one phone at a time over Bluetooth. You cannot just install ViHealth on a second phone and have both screens light up. Below is the honest explanation of why, and then the way people actually get the live SpO2 and pulse onto a second person's phone, in another room or another city.
Why you can't open the ring on two phones at once
This is a hardware limit, not an app setting you missed. Bluetooth Low Energy, the radio the ring uses, holds one active data connection at a time for this kind of device. Wellue says it plainly in their own O2Ring FAQ: "The O2Ring can only connect to one device at a time." Their troubleshooting advice when the app can't find the ring is also revealing, it's usually because "the ring is still connected to another device," and the fix is to turn off Bluetooth on the other phone and force-close the app there before the second phone can grab it.
So if you and a family member both try to connect, one of two things happens:
- Whichever phone connected first keeps the ring, and the second phone simply can't find it.
- The connection ping-pongs, dropping off one phone as the other grabs it, so neither of you gets a stable, continuous stream.
Wellue even warns you not to pair the ring in your phone's system Bluetooth settings at all, the connection is meant to be made inside the app, once, on one device. None of that is a bug. It's just how the radio works.
What ViHealth offers, and where it falls short
Wellue's own answer to remote viewing is a separate piece of hardware, the Remote Linker (sometimes sold as a Wi-Fi stick / remote kit). - It's an extra accessory you have to buy and keep powered and connected next to the wearer.
- The family member has to keep the ViHealth app open to keep receiving updates.
- And ViHealth itself has a rough reputation lately. Owners on sleep-apnea forums and the App Store report whole nights of data vanishing after app updates, sessions getting split in half, the stream stopping the moment the app goes to the background or a phone call comes in, and support that often doesn't reply.

How remote viewing actually works (the relay model)
Once you accept that the ring only bonds to one phone, the solution becomes obvious. You don't try to connect two phones to the ring. You connect one phone to the ring, and let that phone relay the live numbers to everyone else over the internet. Conceptually:

- That sender phone forwards the live SpO2 and pulse, second by second, up to the cloud.

- If the reading drops below a threshold you set, the viewer phones get a low-oxygen alert, even if nobody is staring at the screen.
